The piece captures the rolling green hills of the West of Ireland on a sunny and breezy day, inspired by a photograph I took while exploring the region during a family holiday. Once the site of a thriving rural village, the landscape is now quietly inhabited by the silent ruins of stone cottages, still recognizable outlines of potato plots, and the occasional wandering flock of sheep - perfectly at home in their timeless surroundings.
There was something profoundly moving about the stillness of this place. Standing there, with only the breeze and the bleating of sheep for company, it felt as though I had stepped back through centuries, into a simpler, slower Ireland that still lingers in the land.
