Red Apples
This original painting was influenced by the sweet memories of my childhood at my grandmother's house. She had a very old orchard, the place that I loved a lot. One particular apple tree bore lovely apples with snow white flesh. They kept well for winter.
Many years has passed since that time. At my garden, where I live now, we planted that very variety of the tree. It bears the apples with the taste of the childhood.
One quiet autumn evening I was coming back home, I noticed a beautiful reflection of the evening sun on the apples and the leaves. And I wanted to picture the impression of that moment in the painting.
